Golden Triangle Federal Credit Union.

WHAT WE DO

How does Golden Triangle Federal Credit Union protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards, secured files and buildings, employee training, vendor oversight, and other physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards.

We restrict access to your personal information to employees, service providers, and other authorized parties who need the information to provide products or services to you, maintain your accounts, respond to your requests, or comply with legal and regulatory requirements. NCUA guidance notes that credit unions should require third-party service providers with access to personal information to protect that information, so vendor oversight language is appropriate to include if it reflects GTFCU’s actual practices.

How does Golden Triangle Federal Credit Union collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you:

  • Open an account or deposit money
  • Pay your bills or apply for a loan
  • Use your credit or debit card
  • Make deposits, withdrawals, transfers, or loan payments
  • Provide account information or contact information
  • Use online banking, mobile banking, bill pay, card services, or other electronic services
  • Contact us by phone, email, mail, online form, or in person

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only:

  • Sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes involving information about your creditworthiness
  • Affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • Sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing. Because Golden Triangle Federal Credit Union does not share your personal information in these ways, there are no opt-out choices under this notice at this time.
